"It’s important to know something about the traditions of each country"

What is your cultural background?

I was born in Argentina.  My parents are both Argentineans. I also have Italian/Spanish backgrounds.

How has cultural diversity impacted your life?

You learn a lot from living in other countries, or working with people with different backgrounds. It’s really interesting to learn how other people live, think and eat. That’s why I love travelling.

What role does food play in bringing people and cultures together?

Eating is about meeting, sharing and enjoyment.  Australia is a great example of cultural diversity. You can find people from all around the world, and also food from all around the world.

Why is it important to learn about and understand the different cultures of the people you work with?

So, you understand a bit more about where are they from. Their traditions, food and culture. We have more than 7 nationalities in the restaurant (South Africa, England, France, Korea, Argentina, New Zealand)

If everyone taught us one dish from their country we will have a lot more knowledge on typical traditional food from each country.

Why should Australians get involved with A Taste of Harmony?

Australia is a multicultural country. It’s important to know something about the traditions of each country and gives everyone the chance to showcase their country's best efforts!
